COOL Congressional Vote Database
Edited on Mon Dec-05-05 02:52 PM by shraby
(posted at Dailykos)
The Washington Post has created a Congress Voting Database. You can see how members of Congress voted all the way back to 1991.

Hat Tip to Taegan Goddard at Political Wire

Now we'll be able to see how everyone voted with the click of the mouse. You'll get house votes, senate votes, recent votes and not so recent votes. Also wide margin and narrow margin votes.

1. Thanks!
I'll book mark this. I am reviewing my Senators and Representative now. Although I am blue in a red district, I know the outcome.

3. Not very encouraging that Dems miss the most votes (list)

And what's up with someone missing almost 25% of voting?

6. Some of that is not intentional
remember, Repubs run the show and get to decide when votes are held. They will hold them in the wee hours of the morning if they think it will make Dems miss the vote and get a contentious bill passed.

4. This is EXCELLENT. Thankyou! You can even click on an individual and
see how they voted on a bunch of stuff.

I'll be using this A LOT - and it should come in really handy during elections!

Like the category - "late night votes" too. Good stuff.

7. Wonderful - I've been wanting something like this. Now it willl be easier
to see how the ACTIONS match - or don't match - the WORDS. Also good ammunition to promote good reps and expose bad or corrupt ones.
