Please Help me test my server and listen to some REAL liberal media???

At 7:06 Eastern time, I stream Head On with Bob Kincaid Show from White Rose. I *really* need at least 100 people to connect to the stream tonight so I can get some metrics on how the server is performing

Tough Day? Tough? Is that the Best Word they can find to describe the horror? Tough is when you've pulled a long shift at the plant or a long day at the office coupled with a long commute. Tough is when your kid is sick, you're sick, the washing machine just broke, and you can't get an appointment with his doctor OR Yours. Tough? TOUGH is FAR too mild a word to use when discussing our, yes, OUR...TEN DEAD MARINES!!! "Tough Day"??????????? :wtf:

Everything is cool on this midwestern front. I've connected twice and both times all is groovy.

BTW I checked both wmp and non-wmp 48Kbps "broadband" stream.

25. Getting it. Sound is a bit odd.

The music sounded ok. But the voice sounds like it's doubled.

Almost like the microphone is picking up a speaker playing the show across the room.

It's only when the mike is picking up Bob's voice. My guess would be that a compressor/limiter (?) is squashing the signal during silence. If so, the same compressor maybe boosting a speaker (or even a slight echo) in the room with Bob.

Hope this helps. (hard to really troubleshoot blind)

Because the caller's (ben's) voice sounds much cleaner.

Also, the level on the caller voice is higher than Bob's. Should remix it (host should always be able to "talk over" the calls).

27. Broadband RealPlayer coming in wall to wall.

Ripping into the death penalty and Rumbo's torture of POWs.

The music is coming in totally clean. Better sound quality than FM radio and I'm just cracking the gain and it's blowing my ears off. Sounds fine * * * * *

Edit: Bob's voice is coming in clean here in West By Gawd Virginia.

Listening via Real Player on an old bare bones machine with dial-up. Sounds perfect to me, but I don't know about all the technical stuff. I do know that I usually can't get streaming anything without ending up screaming in frustration.
