I love this guy's blog. I wish I could contact him.
But wow. . .if I wasn't depressed after writing my blog, I am in a serious "listening to Harry Chapin, Gordon Lightfoot" funk now.

I am not even in the mood to watch Adult Swim.

Check it out and remember, I am warning you, this is not pretty.

Graphic blog pictures and commentary.

1. Please explain Adult Swim
My old fogediness is showing. My son turns on Family Guy, I guess, and at some point Adult Swim comes on and I don't know exactly what it is or what channel it's on or if there's some consistent theme or what. Except I'm always like..

:wow:

2. Family Guy is part of the Adult Swim lineup.
It's the Cartoon Network programing for people 14 and older.

Futurama
Family Guy
Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law
Inuyasha
Full Metal Alchemist
Ghost In A Shell: Stand Alone Complex

5. None of them. . .Family Guy is the most in your face one, but they are all
pretty tame in my eyes.

Inuyasha is kind of lame.

Full Metal is intense and violent, but it's really a harmless show with alot of humor.

Ghost In A Shell is really violent. Other than that, there is no reason to censor your child from watching it.

Some of the shows have alot of language. Squidbillies, Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

The American shows are comedies. The Japanese are Anime and tend to be for mature audiences due to the violence. Sit down and watch it to see. It's pretty harmless.

7. Oh he's 19
And I've never censored my kids from much of anything except a couple of video games and I had to pass that off with "humor your mother, I just don't like them".

But there is some nasty nasty stuff on some of those cartoons and I've never quite figured it out. Like a few days ago, or maybe last week, Family Guy was just off the chart. Totally out of the blue, it was Family Guy Gone Wild. Or maybe it was some other cartoon doing a really off-color version of Family Guy, I couldn't figure it out. And at some point, I can't figure out if I'm watching commercials or programs. Sometimes it's the violence, sometimes it's cartoon sex, never know from day to day. That's why it's so confusing.

And I've asked my son and he just tells me to go type my political stuff. lol.

6. How could I forget Aaron MacGruder?
Problem I have with the show is they drop the N-bomb too much.

Other than that, it's pretty funny and very well done.

8. I like that
I've only seen a couple of them, but they're funny. Irreverent and not cliche, really really good.

13. I like that blog. Thanks
Come Armageddon, posted by America is Fucked.

It's apparently pretty new.

Somewhat less nasty than Rude Pundit, but right on the mark and doesn't pull any punches.
