Remember the Hart-Rudman Report on Terrorism?
Sure you do! http://www.rememberjohn.com/salon1.html

Looks to me like Cheney was left holding the bag ... decided to devote his energies to lining the pockets of his rich oil buddies developing a national energy policy instead of addressing domestic terrorism ... and we know where that got us.

Now it looks like Cheney is once again ignoring information, this time that the Niger yellowcake documents were BS.

Is cheney's brief stay in the White House just about over?

1. I remember it well
and I'm REALLY REALLY hoping that the latest scandal will expand to at least SOME of the other atrocities by this administration -- including Hart-Rudman and how the Republican Congress reacted to the report. Ultimately, as we now know, it was prophetic.

2. Actually this would be a great response for the GOP
The weakness of Bush is that he's not setting anybody up to be President after him. Cheney obviously can't run, not with history of heart disease. So they switch him out, due to "lingering questions" for Rumsfeld or someone similar, and then they do have a candidate in the next election.

4. Saw Hart on the Daily Show the other night
Thought He and Jon Stewart were great in describing the Hart-Rudman Report and the lack of action and inadequate action that has taken place so far.
