Atrios: "...if they flip Abramoff it'll be like a nuke hit Repub. Wash."
NY Times
via Eschaton

WASHINGTON, Dec. 1 - With a federal corruption case intensifying, prosecutors investigating Jack Abramoff, the Republican lobbyist, are examining whether he brokered lucrative jobs for Congressional aides at powerful lobbying firms in exchange for legislative favors, people involved in the case have said.

The attention paid to how the aides obtained jobs occurs as Mr. Abramoff is under mounting pressure to cooperate with prosecutors as they consider a case against lawmakers. Participants in the case, who insisted on anonymity because the investigation is secret, said he could try to reach a deal in the next six weeks.

2. Abramoff has a fanatical set to his jaw
and weird eyes. I sincerely doubt he can be flipped, although I do dream about such a thing.

Likely he'd wipe out half the DLC Dems along with the pubbies. His tentacles reach nearly everywhere.

5. Methinks it to be a glass jaw...
... and he's stuck between having it shattered or having it sing like a canary.

4. Nuke? More like a tsunami...
... poised to wash Grover Norquist, Ralph Reed and K Street into oblivion. Good riddance to all of them -- especially the nefarious Norquist, whose clients coddle homicidal pseudo-Islamist crime groups like Al Qaeda.

6. And Carpetbagger starts to drool.
It's like playing "It's a Wonderful Life" backwards on the turntable or something, or at least a "Spock's Beard" version of same.

Banker-in-trouble returns to town, saves his hide, and, well, the rest of the cast goes to the pokey.
