The Aruba missing girl case. He's had it on for nearly the entire program for 2 days now. Dr. Phil has gotten involved, btw, but do we hear anything from Abrams about important political issues??? Nah.

I feel for the family of that girl, but it doesn't seem to me that the story should have dominated the news to the degree it has when there are so many far more important things going on.

1. Thank you for reminding me why I haven't turned on my

2. It's part of his job at MSNBC to keep dumbing America down. They blur the
IDEA of what news should be to serve their own agendas.

7. It's not an addiction if it's good for you.
7:00 is a bad time for cable news, I normally jump to regular TV also.

10. Small addiction maybe
I'm on it an hour or so on my working days but often, on my days off, I'm on for 8 hours. That's an addiction.

8. Are there things that need to be kept out of the public's awareness?
Then, the story will continue full blast.

Of course, I speak of this second hand. I don't watch TV anymore. I miss the Daily Show but otherwise, no loss as far as I can see.

13. It does almost seem deliberate, doesn't it?
The case of the Aruban girl burst back into the headlines right at the time that it first seemed to me that msm was finally beginning to talk about the utter failure of Bush's policies. But then, Dr. Phil got involved and away we went, in a totally different direction from what should have been the uppermost item in the national attention, imho.

(btw, the tapes that Dr. Phil had obtained about a supposed confession now appear to have been doctored - so it was all for nothing anyway.)
