This fucker has sent our troops to Iraq to fight so he can stuff his pockets and those of his cronies. I don't understand why he is not under investigation.

If this isn't a conflict of interest, then I don't know what is.

1. I care.

I think sheeple have been inundated with "war is patriotic" crap for so long, they're not surprised to find someone profits from it. The Hitler, er I mean History, Channel. Mass-produced war movies. Video Games. It's really sick.

2. I care, too...
"Halliburton" and "Cheney" were mentioned before the war, and it seemed nobody cared then. I did. Now Halliburton has messed up Iraq and failed to deliver services to our troops, and yet made billions while Cheneys stock options multiplied in value. And it still seems that nobody cares. I fear that until the media cares, not enough of the people will. When the media and the truth are at odds, the truth is wrong.

3. GOP neo-conserative controlled corporate media in bed with him?
They control the airwaves.

Thanks for the deregulation of the broadcast airwaves, whomever did it!

4. The media hasn't raised enough fuss about it
Most people don't know what to care about until the media bombards them with it, as was the case with Bubba and Monica Lewinsky. The media might report a couple of blurbs about Halliburton, but I have yet to read the words "conflict of interest" in any of those stories.

And even after it was announced that Halliburton would be cleaning up the Katrina mess, the media made a mention of it, but it didn't really tie it all together like we do here. So people go on with their lives thinking that any story about Halliburton is just another boring story.

It really blows my mind that Bushco is able to use Halliburton so blatantly. They don't even try to hide the fact. The emperor really wears no clothes.

America is so drunk on propaganda that it can't see straight. Cheney's stock in Halliburton increased like 3000% since the start of the war and no one cares. I don't get the complacency either.

7. Why doesn't anyone care?
Here's my theory: the Bush regime has cynically vowed to overwhelm the sensory apparati of the American public with constant and consistent mind-numbing scandal. No one cares because we're through the looking glass, people can't keep track of the administration that breaks more laws before breakfast than most do in a lifetime. It's a clear-cut case of scandal overload.

Most people can't even remember last week's impeachable offense. How are we supposed to remember treasons and felonies from two years ago?

...I care.

And let me go on the record with the prediction that this creep is going to have to resign before 2008. Don't know how, don't know when -- but he's going down -- he makes Spiro Agnew look like Tom Hanks. Bush HAS to cut his tentacles from his sinking ship in order to TRY to survive the next 3 years (heh heh).

Resigning is the best thing that can happen to him -- indictment is not -- although he is assured of a pardon if His Chimperial Highness is still suffered to be in office, heaven forbid.

11. There's more conflict of interest in this White House than
anything else. If Bill Clinton or Al Gore had had one tenth of the conflicts of interest this White House has they'd have, to say the least, been crucified on the Grounds of the white house.

empire, by a press bought and paid for by that bush family evil empire, and by the greed which underpins their motivation to hold us hostage to their power and control.

and the profiteers make sure the word doesn't get out in a way that the people who are not really paying attention, will notice.
