Vietnam War Vet: the Bush plan is just hot air

http://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=112570

President's Iraq speech gets mixed reviews

<snip>

Time and patience is something David Angus, a Vietnam War veteran, ran out of a long time ago.

"Whether I believe in war or didn't believe in war I'd still have a broken heart," Angus said while looking at the last living photo of his nephew, Master Sgt. Brett Angus. Brett Angus was the 28th Minnesotan to die in the war in Iraq. The military said he was killed in an explosion near Baghdad last Saturday.

David Angus thinks the Bush plan is just hot air. "He's just saying the same nothing he's been saying the whole time. This war should have never even happened."

David Angus says his brothers, sisters, everyone in the family, agrees that America's place is not in Iraq. "The whole family is on the side that this is a mistake, this is a grave error for our country," Angus said from his home in Saint Paul.

1. There was never a just reason for us being in Iraq
They were never a national threat. Hussein could have been taken out by some marksmen if our government chose to delete him.

But then W couldn't have redistributed our taxes to global corporatists.

2. Here's the bottom line -
has Bush delivered ANYTHING that he has promised?

He promised to bring democracy to Iraq. Has that happened?

He promised to "Spare no Expense" to fix the devastation in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. How's that area looking now?

Bush is now asking for lots more time and patience to fix things in Iraq.

I ask you, what's his performance so far?

3. I feel your pain
My son died 2 yrs ago from a medical screw up at the Va and he was my first child and the suffering never ends.It seems as if there is no justice in the world and when someone dies in another country so far from home I think that would be even harder. We must stop this killing.
So many dead and physically destroyed for life and add the mental issues and it is heart breaking. My 2 brother in laws were in viet nam and both died in their 40's from emotional pain that they couldnt bear so they drank themselves to death
