3. When all is said and done, the keyword is "Republican." They will vote Re
Republican. So no matter platitudes they utter now, they will get in line and do what is the correct thing (in their book) - vote Republican.

Nothing has really changed - IMHO.

39. So True.
How many Repubs will change their vote in a year? And no word on raping the environment, destroying domestic programs, plunging us into debt, loading the court with fanatics, etc. In this entire F***-up of an administration, they only see one error.

6. Republican civil war just around the corner
Those closer to the middle are waking up to the fact that this administration is destroying the country, and by extension the world. The neocons have lost a lot, if not all, of their credibility with these folks. Not only that, but the Religious Right really freaks a lot of them out. IMHO, the GOP can't sustain itself much longer.

Maybe this could be a shift away from the Nazi controlled Republican Party as it is today. Real Republicans will see as we Democrats do that our first duty is to be patriotic Americans and political party members second.

13. An MD who's associated with the Republican party
does zilcho for me. So he's having some angst about Iraq- big fucking deal.

His party been promoting fundamentalism over science and standing in the way of healthcare reform for 25 years. Yet the man has nothing to say about that.

So he's seen some light and is changing his ways. Good. Just don't expect any props from me- or any of the other science minded or healthcare workers who now under assault because of Docs like him and their lack of vision.

17. I love that!!!
I am to the point of putting notes on windshields of cars that have 'W '04' stickers....I just write 'asshole' on a piece of paper and pop it on.

IMHO, nice is over. I can no longer be civil to these people who have voted for the neocons. And they still have the stickers on....stupid assholes! I really do admire diplomatic people who try to reason with these idiots. I can't do it any longer....I have lowered myself to their level. But they understand me now! lol.

25. Wow.. lots of good links and info..
It's a shame that they have let things get so far gone that many people will not forgive them. I have a kind of policy that I will not forgive or believe any supposed "ex" WH shill, people like Tweety, O'Reilly and Andrew Whatshisname. But a guy like this I will welcome into the light. We can't keep saying "anyone who voted for Bush won't be forgiven". If we do that we will always have half the American people against us. We have to try to remember that most people are just ignorant of the truth, they have for generations been taught to trust what their government tells them, and we must make room for them when they finally see the light. An Ex-Repug once posted on here about how hard it was for them to turn away from what their core values have been all their lives. To make a radical shift in your basic beliefs must be difficult, in the extreme.

Excellent find Will, thank you, it re-affirms my faith that we may yet pull back from the brink..

32. And I will just add
I welcome the opinions of people such as this, because we need them, despite my lingering resentment over their passive or active support of Bush.

There's no point in remaining angry with the ones who are seeing the light. I forgive them.

We can't change what's already happened but we can change the course of the future.

Imagine if all the good Germans had spoken up like this person in the runup to WW II.

Okay, never mind, it's too late. I give up.

C'mon Skittles, yer bummin' me out. :(

Maybe the website is all bullshit anyway, and I should just take a nap. :)

38. Easy--follow the money
The mantra of many Republican voters was simply "Kerry will raise my taxes."

While, of course, I welcome more support, I wonder what it will take to get these people to recognize what they did? Without that recognition, it's a pretty sure bet they'll turn right around and do it again.

They all say "I didn't know" now; more specifically, if they wanted to be honest, they would admit "I didn't want to know, 'cause it was too much fun not knowing."

30. How far will he go, I wonder...
It appears that this guy is just waking up to the possibility he may have been lied to. When he starts to find out what's really going on, I wonder if he'll have the stomach for the truth or will he just give up and pretend the Matrix doesn't exist. Only time will tell but I for one welcome anyone to the Struggle Against Violent Extremism.

49. Will, It's all lies -- says the bible beaters
"What we have here is a bunch of lies, truths and half-truths all wrapped around a partisan attack that has no appropriate reason for existence except for the hate that the left has for Bush. In reality these people are skirting the edge if not going down the road of treason by providing aid and comfort to America's enemies.
Let us remember that South Vietnam fell because we cut and ran. And then to add insult to injury we cut off their funding so they had no money to fight back against a well funded, by Russia and China, North Vietnamese Army. Even then, they still held out for two years.
The Left would like to repeat Vietnam it seems by abandoning those who depend on us."
