Intelligent design a Trojan horse, says creationist
At least its on the record.

http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/intelligent-design-a-trojan-horse-says-creationist/2005/11/26/1132966007431.html

"KEN Ham should be on the same side of the street as proponents of intelligent design. After all, he's in opposition to the atheistic view of science as an explanation for the world we see. He, like many people in the intelligent design movement, is a Christian.

But intelligent design advocates probably won't thank Australian-born Mr Ham for articulating what many of them try to avoid saying. That is: for some, the intelligent design movement is essentially a stalking horse for religion and, in the US, a way of getting around the separation of church and state to get into schools and influence children's education."

1. Another insightful observation from the brilliant mind of Ken Ham.

11. Even Pat Robertson did so
with his little outburst with Dover, Pennsylvania.

2. At least he's honest... Of course Pat Robertson sorta blew their cover...
...too with his little rant about Dover. Um, Pat. If ID isn't really about God, then how could not teaching ID be the equivalent of "voting God out of the school curriculum"?

4. This is a good question that we should be asking ID'ers
They want to put a sticker in the front of textbooks with some "evolution isn't perfect and doesn't answer all questions" statement which, if it's like any other introduction / preface to a textbook, won't be read either.

OK, we should let that slide?

But the question is, where does it END? Where's the point where they're happy? Where's the point when they'll say, OK, we won't interfere with (public) education any longer, THIS (spelled out) is all we want / don't want said in school and THAT'S IT, PERIOD.

I, for one, would be very interested in seeing that in writing.

Personally, however, I suspect they would never say, because they want to have it ALL, and that's the 500 lb gorilla sitting in the corner...

5. I just love that--it ignores one very important question.
If we're going to whine about evolution, shouldn't we also place disclaimers on quantum physics textbooks? Or calculus books? Or chemistry books? None of those sciences have ALL the answers to every question posed to them.

9. Math is immune to the Christians
Edited on Sun Nov-27-05 02:13 AM by kgfnally
Once proven true, mathematical proofs are ALWAYS true. Not even the "all powerful" Christian "god" can alter 2+2=4.

edit: that fact REALLY pisses them off.

8. No kidding?
Do a google search on "the Wedge Document".

The Discovery Institute (the guys who founded the ID movement) ADMITTED it in a fundraising letter 4-5 years ago.
