Will Andrea Mitchell still be darling of MSNBC after her HUGH gaff?
Imus (of all people) made a goat of Ms. Mitchell last week when he checked her on the statement she made several months ago... "Everyone knew Valerie Plame was a CIA agent." As it turns out, no one knew, and Mitchell is now treading water, trying to explain her way out of that statement. "I spent hours trying to remember why I would have said that. I just can't remember, but I must have misunderstood the question." Fortunately Imus wouldn't let it go and kept needling her about her memory. For as big an ass as he can be, once he smells blood, he likes to stalk his prey, regardless of political persuasion.

I think her credibility has been damaged and I bet she has fallen a few rungs on the ladder at MSNBC. If nothing else, it was interesting to watch her try to wiggle out of her bullshit. But I guess time will tell.

3. Yuk
I just couldn't even imagine being married to Alan Greenspan, he's COMPLETELY repulsive. I often feel sick when I see him appear on the TV or if I see a picture of him in the newspaper.

He's mega gross.

:puke:

14. Meant in the kindest way:
I like your post and agree with your opinion, but poor Hugh! The word is spelled "huge." Hugh is a man's name, like Hugh Grant.

Maybe it's a joke for which I have not rec'd the memo? Everyone lately has been typing "hugh" for "huge." Is it like "morans" for "morons?"

Started by a freeper post. But that's quite alright. I'm a bit anal about grammar myself. :-)

17. I hope this was really, really recently
because that was the point of Woodward's whole confession, I think (personally): to spread the meme that everyone knew, it was all just casual conversation and gossip, the like.

I don't believe Woodward for a minute, and didn't from the get-go. When he got on Larry King, the few bits i caught tended to confirm my suspicions. He was busy erecting a large, somewhat vague, seemingly innocuous smoke screen.

Mark my words.

21. Neh, She's Done It Just Recently and Nobody Blinked an Eye
She was on with Tweety when the LIBBY indictment was being released. It was another deal like the 2000 SCotUS, when all the yakkers were scrambling to read the legal papers and be first.

So right before the indictment itself went down, Tweety passed to MITCHELL with some breaking news. She said she had just been handed the letter from FITZGERALD to the Dem congressmen who had written to him requesting a written report. She read down the page and said that FITZGERALD was agreeing to submittting a written report. She passed back to Tweety.

Tweety was just sitting there dumbassed. His guest was one of Kenassed STARR's frigging deputies, who had said earlier it was inconceivable that FITZGERALD would agree to a written report. After MITCHELL's info, this freak said he didn't know what to make of it, that there were all these reasons for a special prosecutor not to do it, but oh well. He and Tweety were just nonplussed.

A full two or three minutes later MITCHELL said she had something else, that she had just read the SECOND PAGE of the letter and it said there would be NO written report. That was that, and Tweety and the other freak just went on with their yakking without any acknowledgement that MITCHELL had fucked up on the air.

27. I Don't Fault Her For Plastic Surgery
she had really bad skin - she must have had acne really badly at one time in her life - the scarring was sever.

She just can't be trusted to tell the truth - Her loyalty to White House, General Electric and old hubby trumps her ability to be objective.

neither she nor MSNBC had any credibility in the first place.

She'll still get invited to the Beltway cocktail parties. They're all whores.
