Rigged elections, corruption, torture, militarism.
The United States of America more closely resembles the corrupt nations of Central America and Africa in the 1960s than a bastion of freedom and democracy. The U.S. is the epitome of what defines a Banana Republic. What has happened to my country? This is not America.

4. Rigged elections make possible all manner of corruption, like
torture, The Patriot Act, cronyism, and jingoism. The sooner we face this head on the sooner our elections will get cleaned up.

Paper ballots, hand-counted at the precinct level is all the start we need. To do this doesn't take a machine or lots of money. It takes counting by hand procedures for checks and balances. People can make it happen tomorrow.

When people take back the counting of their ballots from the corporations real democracy will absolutely trash the filthy politicians. They won't have a CHANCE at power ever again.

7. Amen! Amen! Amen! Yea Verily! Hear hear!
Perhaps the same result could be achieved by paper ballot print-outs with REQUIRED AUDITS OF AT LEAST 5% and the paper trumping the machine if the slightest discrepancies are found.
