Thanksgiving 2016. The George W. Bush Presidential library in
Edited on Fri Nov-25-05 11:34 PM by rzemanfl
Dish, Texas (also famous for selling its name in exchange for free satellite TV) announced today that the famous Baghdad plastic ceremonial turkey of 2003 will be placed on permanent display there in a new exhibit called "The Heroism and Sacrifice of George Walker Bush." The display will be placed near the mammoth bronze plaque displaying the impeached 43rd President's famous quote: "You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test."

The library also boasts several books and the World's largest collection of permanently classified papers and redacted documents. The co-librarians, Jenna and Barbara Bush, daughters of the imprisoned former leader of the free World, reminded the media that the library also is known for its "Headline Glancing" room where visitors are allowed to "glance" at current newspaper headlines in the manner of the former President.

No information has been provided detailing how the ceremonial plastic turkey was smuggled out of the Islamic Republic of Iraq.

1. Remember how they tried to create a counter Clinton library? It failed.
There was nothing to put in it but the blue dress. A counter Dubya library, on the other hand, would be larger than the official library. Just think of how big it would be. We should start raising funds now.

16. No problem. This is based on my recollection of a news story about them
running out of funding. But you could probably google it to confirm.

18. I think the counter Clinton library was just a scam
They raised funds for years, and then said that they weren't going to go through with it. Then they blamed liberals and the media, for blocking the way.

I wonder if they ever gave donors their money back?

Probably not.

I wish I had thought of that.

2. You know how difficult it is
for convicted felons to get jobs once their prison terms are done. This posting gives me the idea that perhaps one such will be able to head up a plastic turkey factory. Then whenever a ceremonial occasion requiring such an item comes up, there will be a supply. After all, if Brownie can consult on emergency preparedness....

24. and of course, "Pilly"
The disgraced ex-president's favorite sleeping pillow ... a bit the worse for wear, since his fingers left clawmarks when the prison guards had to take it away from him, to search it for contraband.
