2. Went there and sent the site to others. We also need a site to help fund
getting pets spayed and neutered.

7. I give monthly to the Santa Monica Catladys. They have a terrific
network, and it makes me feel a little better about not fostering for them since we moved north. Miss the little critters a lot.

Too CUTE!!!

:D

... And yes, belly-rubs on darling kittens *can* lead to punctured and shredded human flesh. It's those bunny-kicks with their hind legs that can really do us in! :o

lol

This is the Cat Formerly Known as Hisser. She spent three months hissing at us from behind our bedroom door. Guess she didn't like that trashcan much and wanted to let us know. Her brother, the whiter one, was Formerly Known as Twitch. Ditto for him.

17. These two, with one more bro, were dumped at Albertsons.
If you can believe it. They were very traumatized for about a year after we got them. TG, they seem to own the place now. :)

19. I can never believe what cruel things people are willing to do to little
animals. It's as though they're from a different planet or something. Those poor babies. Adjusting within a year is actually very quick, compared to some who never really seem to get over being abused/abandoned. It's good that they had each other.

Thank you for rescuing them! :)

22. Not a favorite movie of mine (to say the least), but in Pretty Woman,
Julia's character talked about a fairy tale in which a princess in a tower gets rescued by a prince.
Richard Gere's character asked what happens in the story after the prince rescues the princess.
Julia: "She rescues him right back."

Rescued furbabies have an amazing ability to rescue their rescuers right back.

:)

20. I second that.
I keep forgetting about this site. Maybe it's because deep down it's so painful to see the ad about the suffering horses.

I have a rescue doggie, too. She is the light of my life. :)

25. The kitten is from KittenWar.com ("Marty")
Here's a link (and a warning about cuteness overload):
http://kittenwar.com/kittens/winners

No one has asked about the squirrel curled up with the puppies. He was a wild orphan, who was adopted by a very kind woman and her pregnant doggy.

When I have more time, I'll post the story with more pics in the Lounge. :D

33. I can't even look at kittenwar.com
I can't take judging kittens! They're all extremely adorable and I feel sorry for the ones that don't get judged extra-cute (thank goodness they're not aware of that!).

24. Don't forget Noah's Wish- they rescue animals during disasters
that what they do full time. They were down in Florida, and then in NOLA, very loving and really dedicated.

Is that a squirrel sleeping with some panda's??

34. It only takes about two minutes
to click on all the buttons, including the four that come up if you click on the Ecology Fund banner (down and to the right)when the Rainforest Site "thank you" comes up. It's easy to get into a daily habit, too.

In addition to the four click-for-FREE buttons to save land, there's also a click-for-FREE button to spare the air 2 lbs of CO2.
Great Find!!
