An interesting idea on FINANCIAL ACTIVISM!
Edited on Fri Nov-25-05 03:15 PM by BEYOND TREASON
“What goes around comes around” is the strapline of www.karmabanque.com, the site that channels consumer outrage to hit unethical companies where it really hurts. Rather like a stock exchange, the site provides a rating of the best brands to boycott – based both on their vulnerability (how much the company’s stock price depends on its sales), and the strength of site users’ collective ‘ill will’ towards them.

Ive not heard of anything as such, would like to hear peoples opinions on this kind of activism.wheather it works or not who knows.

1. i like the ill will part...
how they rate each company on how much ill will they generate... and i agree with the ways in which they determine who engenders ill will or not. Though i admit i am not at all stock savvy, this seems like a good idea... how does one affect stock prices? Short of buying or selling that is? Rec.

2. Same here
Im not stock market savvy either, but it seems like a fantastic idea to me.I would like to hear from people who are stock market savvy.

If this idea works and is legal then maybe DU members should think about supporting it?
