Bill Press was right: the Christian Coalition's Legislative Agenda
Bill was on Washington Journal this morning, and said the Christian Coalition's priority, or one of them, is to make Chimpy's tax cuts pemanent, and that it's posted on their website. It's 3d out of 15 on the list.

Now, why would a religious organization be so preoccupied with "tax cuts"???

Our Legislative Agenda

1. The God Rubber Stamp
You could put "Passing Senator X's Plan to Outlaw Bicycles" on there and the wackos would say yes praise Jesus.

4. I'm a Atheist, but it does seem like a good time for Jesus to kick the
money changers out of the Temple. The Christian Coalition seems willing to cut a deal with the rich to give them a big tax break for help in outlawing RU486 plus a lot of the Christian Coalition leaders are rich or believe they will be.

12. It isn't just for their help it is also for their money
When people have more money they can give more and the churches want some of their cut. It is the fleecing of America and they want their share....

5. Why? To make "Tax Evasion" Legal of course.
They would probably support a Bill to make "Money Laundering" legal, if they didn't make so much money from it.

6. Such a list should be supported by people who pay taxes
Lots of "passing legislation" in that list. If "christians" want to legislate our lives to you and me then they ought to pay taxes like you and me. It's really quite simple. Take the tax exempt status away from churches. In fact, remove their tax exempt status from the first day of reagan's presidency. What could be more fair?

7. to shrink government which they think will make churches more powerful
I'm guessing here. I don't understand how a Christian can be a republican. But look at the position on social security. They are for "personal accounts".

It must be they only want government involved in our private sex lives and nothing else.

That is one strange list.

9. Why does jesus want private social security accounts?
tax cuts and private social security, it sounds to me like it's time for another Martin Luther to rise up.

10. Every item on that list is purely political.
I'm not a religious person so correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn't the teachings of Jesus Christ be reflected somewhere in their itinerary? Shouldn't their list look something more like this:

Feed the Poor
Shelter the Homeless
Treat the Sick
Love thy Neighbor

These people aren't Christians...they are political operatives.

11. Calvinist self-fulfilling prophecy
Tax cuts for the rich makes them richer, hence more Godly.
