Al-Jazeera demands 'US bomb' memo
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/4469044.stm

A senior al-Jazeera executive is flying to the UK to demand publication of a memo in which George Bush allegedly discusses bombing the TV station's HQ.

Mr Kilfoyle said he believed that plans for a further assault on Fallujah may have been discussed at the meeting, and his motion voices concern at Mr Blair's failure to restrain the attack, which eventually took place in November last year.

"I would hope we can have a fair and full discussion of the very important issues that were discussed at that meeting. "This is not about national security. It is about political embarrassment.

Many of al-Jazeera's employees have long been privately convinced that their offices in Kabul and Baghdad were deliberately targeted by the Pentagon in 2001 and 2003 respectively.

I can't wait to see what Jr. said. It's gotta be stunning.

1. Think what they'd do to Air America one day
It may happen before we think too. What about DU? Crooks & Liars?

2. The only one Blair is trying to protect
is himself. That is the only reason for the Brits to withhold this memo and to behave the way they are. If they were 'joking' about bombing al-Jezeera, what the hell else were they 'joking' about? What other terrorist attacks happened after this meeting?

3. Well, Mr. Bush, what do you have to say for yourself?

Time for you to step up to the plate and clear up this explosive issue.

"I'm busy with hard work. I have to clear some brush here at the Imperial Pig Farm Upon Crawford for the next several days of my vacation, so please don't bother me with these liberal-pinko conspiracies. Our local Corporate Media propaganda machine will forget all about it in a couple of days anyway." - George AWOL Bush

4. Did the Pentagon deliberately target al-Jazeera before?

8. of course they were
really...does anyone actually believe that the same people who lied in order to invade for oil didn't just as happily act to destroy the media outlets they couldn't buy or subvert?

I'm not an Al-Jazeera fan on a number of levels...but I don't question for a moment that they were deliberately targeted.

10. Apparently, at least two times that they admit to.
The first time in Kabul on Nov 13, 2001 and then again in Baghdad on April 8, 2003. So much for the claim that 'we don't target civilians'.

7. The joke is on Bush* now.... At minimum, an "international incident"
At worse, Bush* may well be exposed for the war criminal that we all know him to be.

9. Suggestion: civil suit for the death of the reporter killed by US bomb.
Can use the new british memo and the two documented bombings as evidence that the US government deliberately attacked and killed the al-Jazeera reporter. Get it before a US Jury.
