3. It's the context of how the language is used
I find the word unpatriotic to be vulgar when someone applies it with. Someone can say FU in a playful way and it doesnt bother me.

7. Sometimes, when dealing with imbeciles,

foul language is the only appropriate level of language.

Foul language, when used by the imaginative, can be fucking poetry in action.

14. I thought the actions involved make that clear

and haven't found classism about language helpful to making moral determinations, but maybe it works the other way around for you.

9. People wouldn't know be if it weren't for the frequent foul language
sprinkled throughout the conversation.

And of course, there is the fowl language of my duck friend.

11. I said yes. Although I am not offended because I regard
language to be just language, like a rose is a rose. Regarding language as foul is really classism because the language considered vulgar is the language spoken by the conquered or Anglo-Saxons in the case of English, while proper language is the language of the conqueror, the Normans, who spoke an archaic French.

But the reason, I said yes was because sometimes you lose listeners by using it. If you are trying to reach as many ears as possible it is best not to use it, or only very rarely for shock effect.

12. I don't believe any language is "foul"
I can say something utterly atrocious without using any of Carlin's words, "It isn't torture; it's innovative interrogation techniques," or something beautiful "Fuck war," for example, and have the horrible thing be OK because of my nice language, and have the true thing banned because of my verb choice.

Those who seek to limit language seek to limit thought.

Fuck that.
