Lets continute this insane way of thinking:

Bush is a good man, and an honest man. Therefore, it is impossible to think that he would ever lie about prewar intelligence, or knowingly decieve the public.

Tom Delay is an honest person, and has upstanding moral values. Therefore, he would never have done any financial wrongdoing.

Dick Cheney is a man who cares about America, so its impossible to say that he would sell out the nation and use his connections to start a war just to make himself richer.

Rush Limbaugh thinks that people who use illegal drugs (or who use drugs illegally) should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Therefore, why would anyone believe that he would have broken laws to feed his drug addiction?
