Cnn Marks Cheney: Network Flashes 'x' Over Vp's Face During Live Speech

At 11:04:45 AM ET Monday CNN was airing Vice President Dick Cheney's speech live from the American Enterprise Institute in Washington -- when a large black 'X' repeatedly flashed over the vice president's face!

The 'X' over Cheney's face appeared each time less than a second, creating an odd subliminal effect.

As this DRUDGE REPORT screen capture reveals, while one 'X' flashed over Cheney's face CNN ran a headline at the bottom of its screen: "CHENEY: I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS WRONG TO CRITICIZE."

but CNN has had that "X" pop-up before, so I doubt it was intentional.

It looks like it's some sort of graphical marker from the raw data feed - who knows how it made it on the live broadcast.

This is really bizarre.

I'm not complaining. Any graphic that obstructs my view of that jerk--is an early Christmas present.

As a Democrat, I find that funny, but if some kid in the newsroom thought this was funny, it was not. If in fact, if this was some kind of prank, it was a very unprofessional thing to do, the kind of thing that we would expect from Fox News if John Kerry were speaking.

This will only play into the hands of the Brent Bozells of the world who like to whine about "liberal media bias". Just watch. The conservative talk shows now have a week's worth of fodder now.
