Woodward on Larry King now... Isn't anyone watching?
I didn't see a thread here about Woodward's appearance on King. I guess it truly is Must Miss TV (as another DUer put it last week).

3. Someone posted the transcript a little bit ago

and there's not a damn thing worth seeing or hearing in my opinion - just the same old smugness and air of superiority Woodward always shows. No humility.

Says his source went to prosecutor and gave him permission to testify. Source did not give Woodward permission to reveal is name.

13. I am, and I'm FURIOUS!
Not even ten minutes into the show, and that lying collaborator has TWICE mis-characterized what Fitzgerald is doing and what he has said.

First, he claims that Fitzgerald essentially said, at his press conference after the Libby indictment, that the "underlying law" (i.e., the deliberate outing of a covert CIA agent) hadn't been broken.

That is PRECISELY what Fitzgerald DID NOT say. He spelled it out very well in his baseball metaphor, when he said that Libby had, by lying, had thrown sand in the eyes of the umpire.

Second, Woodward conveniently forgets that Fitzgerald used the word "known" when discussing what government officials had revealed Plame's job.

I can't watch anymore. This lying mofo has me entirely too disgusted. His current stance is that he's above the law because anything anyone ever says to him is confidential BECAUSE HE'S WRITING A BOOK.

So Woodward is finally a deity. At least in his own mind.

Fuck him.

17. We must watch so we can quote this whore's lies!
Woodward is legally parsing so Fitzgerald won't have a reason to bring him back to the GJ. His book and his whoring to the exclusion of protecting national security is the TICKET to undermining his credibility (what's left of it).

"relationships of Trust" right before The Whore Woodward takes payment for services rendered.

Blowing the Whistle On Bob Woodward
by
Larry C. Johnson

Among the many op-eds spawned by Bob Woodward's duplicity, this one in the Tampa Tribune struck a nerve. Entitled, Woodward Failed His Readers By Holding Back What He Knew, the piece sparked a reaction by Len Colodny. Len's site, watergate.com, has some fascinating background on Bob Woodward and his ties to military intelligence.

Woodward has been the consumate insider while cultivating the image of the hard charging investigative reporter. He is anything but, and it is time to blow the whistle on his incestuous relationship with certain government officials. The fact that the Washington Post is still covering for this joker says volumes about the decline of the Post.

36. Thank you
Yes, that's Woodward, all right. The DC boy who's always been nothing but Naval Intelligence. Enabler of the first order, and now nothing but a collaborator.

Remember when he wrote about William Casey's deathbed confession about arms sales to the Contras, how it was an "off the shelf" operation. "I believed," Casey allegedly said to him. Interesting words coming from a man in a coma with an incurable brain cancer.

Woodward should be sent away from the Post as fast as they can fire him. He really is a blight.

Thanks again for that fine link.

20. Larry King is not a real journalist.
If he's ever been, fine, but he's not now. His questions made me feel badly for Jennifer Aniston, who I can't stand.

And that's saying a lot.

even asked Woodword if he could be "used." And even offered a possible scenario as an example.....

Now, it's on to the last 45 min. of Rebecca...thanks for the heads up!!

29. I'd judge him as being a tad self-serving.
Must be tough seeing yourself fall from being one of the idols of journalists all over to getting tangled up in this sort of mess. It was rather pitiful to see him waving old newspapers around to show that he'd been tough on the administration.

32. I'm not watching it but from the transcript

I didn't detect that his sense of superiority has been dented at all - so I doubt he feels he's fallen and Downie certainly ardently continues the mutual blow-job we've all have to witness in recent days...
