"GIs Kill Three in Iraq Civilian Vehicle"

BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. soldiers fired on a civilian vehicle Monday because they feared it might hold a suicide bomber, killing at least two adults and a child northeast of the capital, American and Iraqi officials said.

The troops fired on the car because it was moving erratically outside a U.S. base in Baqouba, 35 miles from Baghdad, said Maj. Steven Warren, a U.S. spokesman. "It was one of these regrettable, tragic incidents," Warren said.

Dr. Ahmed Fouad at the city morgue and police officials gave a higher death toll, saying five people — including three children — were killed while driving home from a funeral.

Iraqi officials have long complained about American troops firing at civilian vehicles that appear suspicious. U.S. officials note that suicide car bombers often strike U.S. and Iraqi checkpoints.

We pull out of Iraq. This is a no win situation for all sides. The troops being there are fiering up the so-called insurgents. More and more groups are piling into Iraq, because the troops are there, and they know they'll get a fight.

The troops being there, as an occupying force are provoking all this insanity and mayhem. They should be pulled out over a period of six months, a gradual withdrawal. And then when they've left, Iraq's various tribes and whatever else are going to have to sort the country out by themselves, it's their country.

They are worse off now than they were before, it's obvious. The Bush bastard fucked up another country, it's a shame we can't reverse that, but what's done is done...and we just need to get out and leave it to the Iraqi's...hopefully the suicide bombs per day will diminish to the point of ending completely.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe this is fantasyland.

This afternoon and it really upset me...and now here it is again and it's really upset me again :cry:

I feel in the future that something REALLY bad is going to happen to us because of what the Bush bastard has done. Some kind of TOTALLY bad Karma is going to come around the corner and kick us in the ass.
