House hearing - Texas D's, Homeland Security

Just got over on C-Span, caught the end of it. "Using federal resources for political purposes is an impeachable offense." Tom Delay really ought to have to resign over this.

Is the uranium story a diversion from this story? I don't trust anything anymore. But this is a big story too and should be all over the news.

Anybody have any info on the process of these hearings, what they're trying to accomplish? Any news links? I don't even know exactly what to write my Congressman because I'm not sure what they're trying to do in these hearings.

Did you see Rep. Pascrell? He was great, really pissed.

Too bad there's not more like him. My guy was the one at the end who said "So we've managed to salvage one document from all of this." I didn't get to see his question period, but he's usually pretty sharp on things. He always surprises me with how he usually knows the details of any issue and never gets caught by surprise.

Do you know what the purpose of this hearing was? I hope it isn't the final hearing on this Delay, Homeland Security abuse because the media certainly has their attention diverted.
