In case ANYONE still thinks Lieberman has a place in the party
Here is a quote from today's Washington Post, by our Commander-In-Chimp, concerning the Iraq war debate:

"it's an important debate. It does not have to be a partisan issue. Fine Democrats like Senator Joe Lieberman share the view that we must prevail in Iraq."

Kiss-kiss.

1. Where is Biden on that?
I heard him yesterday say that, if Bush levels with the American people, he can still get support for the mission in Iraq (whatever the mission is, he did not say).

6. Lieberman's seat still counts as a DEM...so he is in our #'s 4 leadership
Before we purge him make sure we have another DEM who can win his seat. IF not we'll have to suffer with his joe-mentum ass.

just remember...SENATE LEADERSHIP and HOUSE LEADERSHIP is what we need.

WE NEED SEATS with BODIES IN THEM.

7. Sadly, I think he wins re-election easily
I think the only Dem who was going to challenge him in the CT primary has withdrawn due to lack of funds.

Thankfully, I no longer live in CT, so I am not faced with a "hold my nose" vote for Joementum (which I would have cast, of course).

11. Thanks for the vote you would have cast. I know it is tough but the
purists around here don't seem to get it.

That is why I think I realise why things that seem to help liberals don't go so well. We purge and destroy each other way to easy. We are way to quick to pull our support to despite moving forward.

8. The Repukes always use Holy Joe and Ben Nelson
Edited on Mon Nov-21-05 10:58 AM by ...of J.Temperance
As some sort of examples of "bi-partisan" support. It's like the Repukes will get some bill through in the Senate and Ben Nelson will vote for it...because he's a Repuke himself...and then Junior will come out screeching:

"I'm glad it passed and it passed with bi-partisan support."

'Um, NO assholes, Holy Joe and Ben Nelson don't make that grade...there's like our other 40 odd Senators who are voting No. One or two Senators doesn't MAKE it bi-partisan.

9. Yes it would truly make great strides for social justice
in this nation, if we kicked out all the moderate Dems who caucus with the Dems and therefore vote with them 70% of the time, and they all became moderate Republicans and voted Republican 70% of the time. That's some gooood thinkin yer doin there!!!!
