Fox and Remembering their words about lies 6 years ago
Made a bizarre mistake today and caught a panel on FOX led by Chris "My father must be ashamed" Wallace, and which had Paul "I'll say anything" Gigot, Juan "NPR IS SO LIBERAL" Williams, and Bill "I'm a PNAC GOD" Kristol.

Some things struck me (like rocks in the head) in the brief time I was able to control my stomach while watching them spin and lie and shill for the administration.

1. Paul Gigot managed to carefully leave out the word KNOWN when quoting Fitzgerald's indictment of Libby. For those of you who follow this...you know why I'm saying it. He actually choked mid sentence when "reading" the quote and amazingly that word never came out...which meant of course, that he was free to then claim that Fitz must be wrong and that LIbby should be off the hook....amazing. Oh and of course no one on the panel corrected him or even blinked as far as I could tell.

2. Juan Williams appears to have some sort of shock collar on which causes him to clap his mouth shut whenever Bill Kristol interrupts him. Maybe there is a buzzer under the desk that allows Kristol to turn off Juan's vocal cords.

3. Bill Kristol goes to great lengths to dismiss ALL of the Libby indictment as some 'minor" purgery trap?...apparently LIBBY lying to a grand jury was some sort of college prank...which strangely...seems a far cry from his view about Clinton talking about a blow job 6 years ago. So I've been poking around and it strikes me that since Bill Kristol apparently thought that Clinton's lies were obvious and a SERIOUS problem for the administration (BJs are apparently a serious threat to national security). But strangely NO ONE seems to say "Hey Bill, how come lying about a BJ is impeachment worthy but lying about CIA agents and security leaks is "meaningless" and "silly".

http://www.aim.org/publications/media_monitor/1998/02/24.htm

And it keeps striking me...this isn't just obvious to me. THEY ALL KNOW IT. The RWingers, the faux-moderates, and the fake liberals on every bleedin talkshow...they ALL know what was said before. And they all know how UTTERLY vile and hypocritical these slime are being...and they aren't letting out a peep about it. Not a word, not a question...

So we have to. We have to mail their words back to them...to the LTTE...to Howard Dean...and to every one of our candidates who runs against them or who gets interviewed by them.

We must pull them out, dust them off, and follow CHENEY's advice and use their words against them over and over and over.

Please don't let me watch Fox ever again. :D

The next time you're tempted, try a full frontal lobotomy instead. It's less painful, and much less mind-boggling.

3. I noticed at one point that Williams DID concede that...
...outing a CIA agent was a serious matter, despite Kristol's gibberish about the Plame/Wilson/Niger lies affair being nothing at all.
but that was it. rest of the time, RW talking points all over again...

5. I'll take lying for $200, Alex.
Of course they know they are lying. They are hoping that we are too stupid to know the difference between a lie about sex and a lie involving a national security issue, as far as which one is more serious. Or maybe they are hoping that we won't remember how outraged they wanted everyone to be over Clinton lying about sex. That would certainly call attention to their hypocrisy re: Libby's perjury. Either way, they lose this one.
