When you were a child, my responsibility to you was to love you, respect and support the person you were becoming and keep you safe.
When you turned 18-I still loved you. I still respected you and I still supported you. But as your parent, as long as I have a breath in my body, I will do everything I can to keep you safe.
That is why I want to bring you home. I am proud of your loyalty and dedication to our country. I am sorry our leaders have been so inept. It was their irresponsible rush to war that has placed you and your fellow soldiers in an impossible situation. I believe you could achieve every objective they give you, but the problem is, the don't know what the objectives are anymore.
Come home. I will do all I can to make sure our lawmakers provide for your needs and those of your families. I will never desert you. That is how I will show my love, respect, and support. Just come home. You are young and smart and our future country needs all of the noble contributions I know you will give. That is who you are.
