Bush needs to apologize to Michael Moore.
Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 12:54 AM by Marr
He's occupying a public office, and he's supposed to be everyone's president- not just the 20% of America that likes him. Michael Moore is not an elected official- he is a US citizen and he's helping to pay the Bush Admin.'s salaries.

Using that public office to attack a private citizen is simply inappropriate. It's an insult to the office, and to the people of the country. Bush needs to apologize for McClellan's insult to Moore, and fire McClellan.

5. Oh, I know it'll never happen- but it's worth pointing out because
it *should* happen. These guys have a warped view of the presidency. They seem to think it's a dictatorship.

4. Bush doesn't apologize to anybody for anything.
Fat chance he'd apologize to Michael Moore, of all people, since the Bushies love to use Moore as their favorite whipping boy to stir up the lunatic Right.

And trying to stir up old partisan feelings.

26. Link?
I suspect you may be right because www.michaelmoore.com doesn't have any link to www.wrathofbush.com.

The movie site looks so legit...who the hell would do that?

in all ways Bush is a weak person

Moore is a class act - he knows how to respond to weak minded people

plus, he doesn't feel he has to explain what he says.

which is probably better for all of us because it wouldn't make sense anyway.

regardless, admitting mistakes and things like apologies are against family values and Jesus.

11. oh, the list of thing bush should apologize for ....
he could serve out the balance of his term doing nothing but apologizing and still not make up for all he's done.

apologize to michael moore? first, how about an apology to the future children of my unborn child, who will be paying extra taxes forever so shrub and his buddies could embezzle so much these past few years....

STATEMENT BY MICHAEL MOORE

Unfortunately, the President doesn't understand that it is mainstream middle America who has turned against him and his immoral war and that it is I and the Democrats who represent the mainstream. It is Mr. Bush who is the extremist.

15. Way to Go Mike Moore!!!!!!!

I first took note of Michael Moore when he produced the film "Bowling for Columbine" and then of course last year during the Presidential campaign. I was lucky enough to be able to listen to him speak in Seattle. Thousands of us were there. Not only was he informative, well presented, but also entertaining and humorous. I appreciate so much what he has shared with the American public. He should be one of the first ones out front and center saying; "See, I told you so!!!!"

I hope all of the frothing right wing maggots are choking on their own bloated b.s right about now. It is up to the liberals to push to the front of the American conscience just how much we have been manipulated and lied to, and keep it at the fore-front of everyboy's mind through the next election cycle. This is my first day posting and truly enjoy this forum as a vehicle to express my political self. Thank you for the inspiration and all the venue for expression!

16. It'll be a snowball's chance
in hell. Bush wouldn't apologize to his mother.

On the other hand, I really don't believe Michael Moore is expecting an apology. Moore is a tough guy. He knows who he's dealing with....

thugs.

17. mcclellan was just saying what bush and/or his speech writer told him to
say.

and...if you trace the word LIBERAL and WHO made it a boogie-man 's gonna get you type word ... look no further than POPPY BUSH AND LEE ATTWATER IN THE 1988 CAMPAIGN AGAINST MICHAEL DUKAKIS.

SONNY BOY'S STATEMENT ABOUT MICHAEL MOORE WAS A PIECE OF SONNY BOY IMITATING DADDY ONE MORE TIME.

THE use of LIBERAL as a boogie man 's gonna get you type word, worked in l988.

the bushit boy and his bushit poppy and his bushit bubba don't know that americans ain't afraid of the word LIBERAL these days... they are actually more afraid of the word THE BUSHIT BOYS or the BUSHIT GANG!

of Bush--as he does 99 percent of the time. George Bush could care less about Micheal Moore. This is all Karl Rove.

22. He should but he won't. Good. A WHOLE bunch of conservatives
are more like Dems than they are like these neocons. My dad, for example. There really are a lot of people who call themselves "conservative" whose values really aren't those of Bushco.

My dad and people like him believe, honestly, in accountability. They have MUCH more respect for ANYone who will admit to making a mistake, and who is honest about how s/he will rectify it. The current admin is digging themselves into a deeper hole by refusing to admit they've made mistakes. This is why they're losing credibility even among staunch conservatives, the old-fashioned "men of their word" types like my dad.

So...I hope (and would pray, if I did pray) that they continue refusing to apologize and admit mistakes. I honestly don't think that * will EVER admit a mistake. Even as a merely political gesture, I don't think that * is mentally or emotionally capable of doing it. And I'm glad for that.

25. What do you expect from someone who thinks
he's the PRESIDENT OF TEXAS!!

I'm from California and he hung us out to dry in the beginning of his first term during our so called energy crisis.

They laughed at the brown outs we had while Cheney had his energy meetings and Enron and reliance energy co. from Texas ripped us off.

My point is that from the beginning Bush showed that anyone that didn't agree with him was history, he has continued with that policy.

I just don't think the smear/fear game will work anymore.

Mike Malloy said something funny last night; he called Cheney a TICKING CYBORG!! lol....FUNNY....
