How many Fulbright Scholars are coming out of the Gaza strip?
I can't believe they need three DynaCorp employees travelling together in an armored van to go out an interview Fulbrigh Scholarship candidates?

And if those bombed out schools are producing enough kids to get the Fulbright to make such a huge effort to interview, I'm going to have to rethink my opinions about how much devestation a community can suffer before its public institutions are so hollowed out that all progress, including education, comes to a virtual halt.

2. State Dept people were in the first
vehicle and the guards were in the second - the one that got blown - supposedly DynCorp employees. Would have been State doing the interviews. This is a very strange story to say the least. Do all of our Cabinet people, House & Senate still have the bodyguards. I know they did have but is it still going on and I'm assuming we're paying for it.

Most Middle East analysts, from ex-Reagan administration department heads to former President Jimmy Carter-experts who have traditionally remained committed to even-handedness in their commentaries-are blaming the Bush administration, and primarily the State Department, for allowing events to explode out of control in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. There should be little wonder why the U.S. chose passive disengagement over active engagement. After all, as Israel commits more occupying troops to the West Bank and Gaza, they will require more U.S. weaponry-tanks, armored personnel carriers, artillery, and consultants from the likes of MPRI and Dyncorp. And who will profit from prolonging bloodshed in the Middle East? The U.S. War Corporation and its surrogates.
