If you have done the SLIGHTEST research about the French riots, you had probably understood that the rioting had NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO with religion :

1) 90% of the second and third generation of French "Muslims" are secular. They drink wine and eat pork. They celebrate the Ramadan as a CULTURAL event the way WE EUROPEANS celebrate Xmas, that is to say a good occasion to exchange presents and for family reunion, not because it's a religious holiday.

2) about 40% of the rioters were black (Sub Saharan Africa and West Indies) and from a Christian culture

3) in the neighbourhoods where the Islamic religious presence was the strongest, there were no or little unrest. The Muslim clerics in France issued IMMEDIATELY a "fatwa" issuing that violence was "non-islamic", specially under the Ramadan.

the French riots had as much to do with religion than the Wyatt's riots at the time. They primary reasons were social causes, discrimination and the disturbance of criminal elements by the police.

so now I have five questions :

1) How come the VAST MAJORITY of Earth's nations - including Western democracies - CONDEMN Israel's violence against Palestinians (which doesn't mean that they all condone extremist Palestinian violence) and the US is practically the only country with influence not doing it ?

2) the Christian Palestinians are quite few, but some are involved in violent resistance. The PLO has even Christian leaders like Hanan Ashrawi, a leader of the Intifada. So your question is pure rethoric. My question is : how come the worse persecutions of Jews through the ages has been done by Christians, Catholics, Protestants and Orthodoxs ? From the Inquisition over Russian pogroms, not to forget that Hitler considered himself a Catholic. How come the Pope was silent about the Holocaust ? And why did it take 60 years to make some kind of excuses to the Jews ?

3) the only really "free" Muslim country is Turkey, because of an efficient separation of Church and State. Mali is good example too. So my question is : how come the "Christian" United States gives full support to the majority of those undemocratic countries of which ones of the most dictatorial are Saudi-Arabia, Pakistan to name the biggest ? How come the vast majority of former African colonies, most of them Christianized are dictatorships ? How come the majority of the Christian Latin-American countries have been or still are dictatorships ? How come the USA supported the worse Christian dictatorships in Latin America, such as Chile, Brasil, Argentina, Salvador etc... besides the facts that genocide and torture were well known to all other democracies ?

4) How come atrocities against Muslims are common in the "Christian" US ruled Iraq or Afghanistan ? Or do you deny use of weapons prohibited by international conventions, massive damage to civilian infrastructure, not to talk about a widespread use of torture. How come thousands of Iraqui children died for lack of medecine caused by unjust sanctions ? Is burning civilians alive with white phosporous in Fallujah acceptable, while beheadings are not ? Do some reading about the US war in the Philippines and you'll have an idea about Christian atrocities against Muslims.

5) The Christians haven't allowed public Muslim or Jewish cult on their territories for CENTURIES. Your country was created originally by settlers fleeing Christian persecution. How come the Muslims have done exactly the contrary during CENTURIES, specially the Ottoman empire which lasted from 1299 to 1922 ? How come the Palestinians never destroyed the Christian Holy sites in Jerusalem besides the fact that 5 CRUSADES tried to destroy the Muslim holy sites in the country ?

I don't expect any answers to these questions. The mere fact that you posted yours, shows how much out of touch you are with reality, history and guided by prejudice.

how does an article about France and rioting by muslims result in a condemnation of the USA and Christians??

I am just pointing out that making "Muslims" responsible for all pain on earth like Prager does is only incitation to general hatred. The vast majority of the Muslims in the world despite their shortcomings are not a bunch of blood dripping thugs.

And regarding the historical record of atrocities and war against Muslims EUROPEAN Christians and nations are the most responsible. It only happens that the US is in focus right now.

Regarding Latin America, the state of democracy and human rights there is still very fragile. 20 years ago they were practically all murderous dictatorships. It is true that nations like Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela have made tremendous progress.

Besides the French events are only a part of Prager's post. He takes them as an example of "Muslims" "murderous nature".
