8. Torture is not used for finding out the truth as much as it is used to

get individuals to say anything you want them to say.

If you hurt someone long enough, they will eventually tell you anything you want to hear. For power abusers, this is quite a useful tool.

Abusers who torture individuals can make tortured individuals take the blame for what the abuser is in fact guilty of doing.

Torture victims will admit guilt to things they didnt do, they will incriminate themselves in any way the torturer wants them to incriminate themselves.

They will say anything to stop the pain and torture.
