Getting beeped at for DU
The last time I got a DU bumper sticker my 19 year old son spotted it on the kitchen table before I had a chance to put it on my car bumper and the next thing I knew it was affixed to the door of his room.

I received a new one a few days ago after donating to DU again, so this time I put it right on the bumper as soon as I took it out of the envelope.

To my surprise, in a few days I have already had 2 people beep at me in the car and give me a thumbs up sign at traffic lights, pointing to the bumper and saying things like "Bush sucks".

1. You just encouraged me to put mine on my bumper,
deep in the heart of Texas. Thanks!

2. Whoa! Good luck with that.
Don't they drive around with shotguns mounted to their trucks? Hope you don't get hassled.

3. Sure, and everyone rides horses and
wears cowboy hats. :eyes:
I kid! I was out and about yesterday and did see (only) one W sticker. I just thought to myself, those poor, disillusioned people, but I had left my shotgun at home. :)

a dozen people who do have shotguns on racks in their pickups.)
Because it is illegal to 'conceal' a weapon, so they have to be in plain sight if 'carried' - and because hunting season seems to last year round when you take into account Moose, deer, turkey, duck, rabbit, coon, coyote, etc.-

"I 'recon we mountain folk must be northern cowboys eh?"-

(We aren't hunters ourselves, but know many who are- and who don't hunt for 'show' but for food- and actually need to.- pasta, potatoes, and beans are our staple foods)

And our state turned blue AT LAST!!!! last election- for what it's worth- lotta Kerry stickers, and some of them are newly affixed- that's a statement!

9. Had mine on for months, now...
And, so far, so good......my car is undamaged! I park in the street, in front of my house, except in the snow. The drive's not adequate for 3 cars, besides , I do drive around town, and as I say so far, so good!

4. I've been seeing signs all over...
...drove by a cutie in a car with a homemade "Fear Bush" in her back window. Seeing lots of it round here, also "Proud to Be a Fightin Liberal" and plenty of Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers. Pretty amusing. The holdout Bushbots I know are feeling increasingly lonely, starting to whine about being persecuted (again)...

6. I presume you live in a blue state
Florida is still sufficiently anti-liberal that I hesitate to affix a DU sticker to the family jalopy... we need this vehicle!

12. WOW... that is impressive
and if the governor of F-L-A was anyone other than a Bush, I might try my luck as well.

7. Good deal! I've seen a few Kerry/Edwards stickers lately
but there are still numerous "W", */Cheney, and yellow Support Our Troops magnets everywhere.
