2. Funny
I set up Dragon for a local guy with severe dyselexia and some cognitive impairment that prevents him from using written communication very well. It really rocks and has opened a whole new world for him. He no longer needs to have home health aides come in just to help him compose letters to the SSA, NYS Worker's Comp. and other agencies he deals with. I receive e-mail from him all the time now. Now, because of his cognitive impairment his sentence structures aren't always the best but it allows him to communicate much more effectively, as well as use a computer to a much greater degree. I'd say the recognition rate is up around 90%-95% with a good microphone or headset. He had a cheap $15 Logitech that sucked donkeyballs but then we got him a decent $85 Plantronics USB digital headset and the difference was remarkable.

3. I am on the 'Dragon blows' side of this debate...
I read to it for hours and hours and hours for a student with hearing disability. All it spat out was gibberish - I wound up giving her my lecture notes.

Here is the break down of the Dragon translation, I think --

ABC - abc
AAA - d
e.g. - e
at the scene - f g
page - h
IJJ - i j k
Al - l
Ave. - m
and O. P. - n o p
to all our grass - q r s
tee use - t u
of - w
the job - w
the - x
year-old - y and
bags - z
