11. Thats what I said the day the indictments came down...
"Oficial A" is Cheney, yet everyone seems to think it is Rove.

13. Consider this:
Official A is Rove, as his attorney has admitted as much to select journalists. But you are very, very close. Someone else high up in the White House had leaked to Novak, before Rove/Official A did.

The federal judges who reviewed Fitzgerald's case ALL felt that there was an extremely significant case involving national security involved. I will suggest to you that it is not Libby's lying about Tim Russert.

In early November, someone has their attorney contact Fitzgerald. They arrange to speak to him the following day. They reveal a conversation with Woodward.

In the same period of time, several journalists, most notably Chris Matthews, begin to focus almost entirely on Cheney. Note that Matthews has said that Cheney may have been one of the officials who actually leaked to select journalists.

So, Rove is Official A. Who was the senior White House official who first leaked to Novak?

4. Scarborough???
I'm watching it but the sound is down because I was on the phone. I saw Scarborough but can't imagine him saying that.

He's pretty darned conservative.

5. On Real Time with Bill Maher
He totally trashed the leakers--he said something to the effect that if it happened in the Clinton/Gore administration, they would have been lynched by the Repubs. On this matter he agrees that the leaking was unconscionable. However, he's still an asshole.

6. Yes, he said it.
It was beautiful. His opinion carries a lot of weight with a segment of conservatives that are going to be dropping support for the administration. It would be impossible to imagine hearing Joe say this a year ago.

7. Maybe the Dickkktater
will fall even before the Chimp. Cheney is one of the most evil people that walks the earth. Gods, would I love to see him frog-marched or at least forced to resign in disgrace.

9. Tweety is pissed because he thinks Woodward's
leak is designed to protect Scooter Libby. He says it is very convenient for Woodward to come out now and say he got the info from an official, tell the prosecutor, but not tell the American people. He said that it is too good for Libby, and that he thinks this is Cheney, perhaps, saving Libby's ass since the info was already out. Tweety asked the executive editor of WaPo if he is concerned that an admin official is using Woodward to save Libby's butt.

None of which, of course, save Libby's ass, as he is in trouble for lying to the grand jury, not for leaking.

15. IF Hadley indeed leaked to Woody he was Condi's deputy at the time. He's
since taken her place as National Security Advisor. That's a significant position and leaking a covert agent's identity ain't a small deal, especially if it's the office of the President's NSA doing the leaking.

Don't know about Novak's original source. I thought it was maybe Fleischer, but the NSA's office would fit too. Hadley reportedly was concerned about indictment. If so, why? But so many conflicting rumors hard to tell what's what and who.

Still I think Condi's office was up to and over her precious Ferragamo's in the Niger thing. I'm amazed so far no one's pointed out how involved she was on the Niger claims and likely the hit on the Wilsons too. Hadley was her deputy, Hadley initially took the fall for the Niger claim being in the SOU. Hadley then reportedly worked with Tenet on his taking the fall on behalf of the CIA. And remember Wilson kept trying to get Condi to retract and clear the record on the Niger claims.

Just musing out loud.
