It is fascinating to watch history being pieced together
The revelation about Woodward and Hadley places another big piece of the puzzle in place.

We've all wondered why Fitzgerald didn't charge Libby with revealing state secrets when it's obvious that Fitzgerald knows that he has.

The reason is because Fitzgerald knows that it was a conspiracy and he will twist the little fish to compel them to testify against the big one(s).

Another interesting commonality is that Rove, Libby and now Hadley are reported to have told their preferred media shills of Plame's identity in an offhand way, even to go so far as saying it's no big deal.

Of course, had they told their contacts that revealing the identify of CIA employees was anything other than routine (?!) it'd be harder to defend against the "intent" provisions of the Intelligence Identity Protection Act. The fact that they all took such pains to downplay the significance of what they were saying, conversely indicates how consistent they were in their message, and the knowledg e of the ramifications of what they were doing.

It's like The Truman Show, how will it end?.

7. Cut-and-paste is bad...
... when it overwrites the real history.

Hopefully, we're filling in blank pages.

2. Very well said ...
"The fact that they all took such pains to downplay the significance of what they were saying, conversely indicates how consistent they were in their message, and the knowledge of the ramifications of what they were doing."

And don't forget the RW cheerleaders, who have been saying all along that this is not a big story, this is not a big deal, etc.

Of course, recent polls show that the American people think it's a VERY BIG deal. I guess they weren't counting on that -- just like they weren't counting on the American people's reaction to the Terry Schiavo case.

They just keep MISUNDERESTIMATING the American citizenry -- and that will be their downfall.

But it's REALLY HARD to get their attention...

6. And GOPer vision seems to think the big story is this hurts Fritz's case
But they could as easily say the big story is that all these administration officials were supposed to cooperate fully with the investigation. Why, I'm even beginning to believe that the president doesn't want to get to the bottom of it.
