The new slavery
Just finished reading Al Franken's great new book, "The Truth (with jokes)". Recommended!

He mentions two reports on Saipan, and the republican-backed sex trade and sweatshops, featuring forced abortions for human-traffic'd Asian workers. (Of course, this could just be one of the jokes in the book. Steaming egg on my face if so.) Tom DeLay is one of the folks who flew out there and approved. He blocked an investigation as well.

So, I recall Bush going to South America to try to open new markets for his corporate buddies. Who are searching for cheap labor.

Meanwhile, Cheney asks for CIA exclusion from any torture restrictions.

The CIA have both toppled and installed governments, as well as arming folks who then turned the weapons back upon us.

This totals into CIA bullying of South American nations who will be expected to be a source of cheap labor. Torture you if you disagree, it's for Democracy as They define it.

This is the New World Order. Business owners rejoice! "We are new fields".

1. The DeLay sweatshop and sexual slavery connection is well documented.
I hope that this doesn't die. He need to be made accountable.

4. Ouch, I don't know how I've missed that one...
Sounds rather like "The Handmaid's Tale", eh?

Choose your dystopian vision and watch how BushCo fit. They've certainly mastered Newspeak.

2. They want slavery they live for domination
I wrote about the dangers of slavery on the"home front" awhile ago..like what could happen to americans who can't afford to be the"owner class"
I wrote about the prison system credit and debt.

The exploitation has gone too far.Sadly it feels "safe" if sexual exploitation is in other countries, but folks slavery happens here too.

3. DeLay and other scumbag lackeys of neocons and their corporatists
Edited on Wed Nov-16-05 06:37 PM by jody
masters do not represent middle income Republicans whom I know.

We Democrats await the eureka moment when blue-collar voters that have been seduced by the corporatists awake and say ENOUGH!

Then, we Democrats will regain control of government and reestablish as that great Democrat masquerading as a Republican said a true "government of the people, by the people, for the people".
