Has anyone read Joe Conoson's new book on privatizing Social Security?

Seeing how an advertisement for it is displayed on DU, I'm wondering if anyone has had any time to buy it or borrow it from your local library. From reading the reviews at Amazon.com, the reviews are generally positive, with the exception of one BushBot repeating long-discredited right-wing talkingpoints and one guy quoting Milton Friedman on how SS is a "Ponzi scheme."
I also agree that the Republicans still want to phaseout Social Security, but since Bush's proposal to privatize it, they are on the retreat. However, I believe that they will be back with another privatization scheme in several years from now. They hate SS, as shown by their historical dislike of it, and including the New Deal in general. Even if Social Security phaseout is no longer the big battle that it was back in January to March, I don't think that we have seen the last of these crooks. They will be back the next time they have a crony of their's in the White House
