Katherine Harris' campaign going down like the Titanic.

Article in my local (Central Florida) newsrag this AM says she fired her campaign manager. C'mon Katherine, the poor SOB didn't have a whole lot to work with now, did he?

Her own party wrote her off months ago and they haven't come up with anyone else as a contender. Looks like they have all but conceded the race to Dem Bill Nelson

34. If she's the Titanic...
...well, we need to get JEB on board her ass and get 2 for the price of 1!

35. Lol
I heard some interesting stats on the way to work. Something about how in FL only 38 percent (might even have been lower, but in the 30's) would vote for Jeb for pres. When you can't carry your own state, you are doomed. So hopefully he will retire and become a corrupt CEO.

2. Predictably
I remember the hilariously awkward Hannity & Wimp appearance where she said "exciting" like 50 times and thrust her boobs out for the camera.

6. I remember that appearance
how could anyone support her for the Senate - I am shocked that 30-some percent would still vote for her - even in Florida! (There must be something in the crappy-tasting water.) I think even Hannity was embarassed by that show. Didn't Jon Stewart highlight that appearance as well????

Now my rep - the honorable Tom Feeney . . . .

24. Actually, the water in North Florida is really very good...
...while it lasts. Its from a different aquifer than the one in Central and South Florida.

in Volusia county, it's only bottled water for us

I used to enjoy monthly trips to NJ - the first thing I would do in the hotel was to grab a big glass of water - such a treat after the Florida water we have

30. (Shh! Don't tell, it's a secret...)
North Floridians and South Georgians don't want their aquifer (the Floridan Aquifer) going the way of that South Florida crap. Actually, the recharge area for it is the wetlands in and around Tallahassee, so there's a chance that Jeb! has already poisoned it permanently, but it was still good stuff a year ago.

4. Maybe she needs to sprinkle some ‘Celestial Drops’ around
her campaign office?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10054116/

Katherine Harris, then Florida's secretary of state — and now a member of the U.S. House of Representatives — ordered a study in which, according to an article by Jim Stratton in the Orlando Sentinel, "researchers worked with a rabbi and a cardiologist to test ‘Celestial Drops,' promoted as a canker inhibitor because of its ‘improved fractal design,' ‘infinite levels of order,' and ‘high energy and low entropy.'"

The study determined that the product tested was, basically, water that had apparently been blessed according to the principles of Kabbalic mysticism, "chang its molecular structure and imbu it with supernatural healing powers."

OK, trying to keep an open mind here, but still wondering about the wisdom of spending state resources on blessed water.

The only accepted means of fighting the blight is the downing of affected trees and proper disposal of their remains.

The Florida state government is frequently bombarded with new supposed cures and preventatives. Most of them are not tested by the state with government funds. But in this one case, at least, it appears that an exception was made: Six months were spent establishing testing protocols and, finally, testing Celestial Drops. In a letter to the state government, Wayne Dixon, the head of Florida's Bureau of Entomology, Nematology and Plant Pathology, reported that the "product is a hoax and not based on any credible known science." He added, "I wish to maintain our standing in the scientific community and not allow to use our hard-earned credibility" to promote their product.

Now, if I lived in FL, Wayne Dixon might look like a better choice to serve the people to me come election time.

A rabbi, a cardiologist and Katherine Harris walked into a ...

 OMG, havocmom, I am dissolved in hilarity. Celestial Drops! improved fractal design!

Hey, speaking of fractals, my avatar is one. Gee, come to think of it, I could have titled that particular one Celestial Drops, they could use it on the label, I'd become fabulously wealthy, and donate huge chunks of money to Bill Nelson's re-election.

I really wanna see her cry.

But I would rather see him in office than Harris. Even if the only reason would be to hand Harris a defeat.

20. How come she doesn't get as much scorn as Nader?
Edited on Wed Nov-16-05 11:37 AM by Selatius
What's to say Katherine Harris could not have flipped the vote in Bush's favor just as easily as Nader? I've seen several dozen threads attacking Nader and his pig-headedness, but I cannot recall seeing as many threads about Harris' fraudulent purges.

37. I like THIS quote:
"Harris felt "her first obligation is to her constituents" as a congresswoman while he "felt it was imperative that Mrs. Harris devote more time and energy to CANOODLING."

OK, I altered it.

Voila, Le Canoodle! Or is it La Canoodle? Who cares, enjoy!
