11 Jordanian officials resign: Now that's accountability Mr. Bush*
In the wake of 9/11.....nada

~snip~ Eleven top Jordanian officials, including the kingdom's national security adviser, resigned Tuesday in the wake of last week's triple hotel bombings, state-run TV announced.

1. I do not think we should
run with this.....because it could be asked how many Clinton
people resigned after the first Tower bombing in 1992.......
or the attack on the USS Cole...?

7. So what is your point? My point is that after9/11 no one was fired.
No one took responsibility. NO ONE. THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILITY. CIA? FBI? BUSH*?

6. There is a proportional difference.
56 people dead, in proportion to Jordan's population, makes it equivalent to 9/11. And compared to 9/11, the 1st tower bombing and the Cole bombing are statistically insignificant (note, I said statistically - not denigrating the deaths from those incidents as insignificant). They were just typical terror attacks, and the first saw arrests and successful prosecutions, while the 2nd was left for Clinton's successor to respond to, the culprits having been tentatively identified before Clinton left office -- * did nothing with the information given him.

And still, while Clinton didn't fire anyone after those incidents, neither did he award a Medal of Freedom to anyone, either.

4. Republican campaign to "change the subject"
Last week I heard one of the CNN reporters (I think it was Bill Schneider) who was discussing Bush's drop in the polls.....he was asked how each party was going to handle the drop. He said:

The Democrats are going to campaign for more "ACCOUNTABILITY".

The Republicans are going to campaign to "MOVE ON".

I think the Democrats should campaign for "ACCOUNTABILITY", but take it one step farther. They should REPEATEDLY state that...

Yes, the Republicans want to "MOVE ON"....but the want to "MOVE ON.....WITHOUT ACCOUNTABILITY". That is not acceptable to the American people.

5. What? They didn't get medals and commendations?
Is that any way to run a country?
