"Bush was right" campaign to launch (wtf?)

'BUSH WAS RIGHT' CAMPAIGN TO LAUNCH
RightMarch to Target MTV with 'Right Brothers' Music Video

WASHINGTON, DC - William Greene, President of the conservative on-line activist
organization RightMarch.com, is announcing his group's plans to help spread the
truth about the successes of the war in Iraq with a new music video for a song from
the "Right Brothers" band called "Bush was Right". The "Right Brothers," a
conservative duo out of Nashville, has been gaining a following by playing political
events and rallies with songs containing conservative and patriotic lyrics.

"We're in the process of pulling the video together," said William Greene, President
of RightMarch.com. "There's a lot not being told about the successes in Iraq and
we're hoping to reach out to young people with a music video that tells the truth -
that WMD's were found in Iraq and there was a definite link between Saddam and Al
Qaeda - that Bush was, in fact, right."

RightMarch is planning to generate grassroots support for the song "Bush was Right"
with the ultimate goal of reaching out to MTV and requesting the music video be
played on "Total Request Live". To listen to "Bush was Right" visit this link:

"It's a good way to bring the facts about Iraq to young people. We hope there's room
for more than one point of view. It will be a test for the folks at MTV - whether
they believe in artistic expression - or censorship," concluded Greene.

:DOy! I'll bet MTV can't wait!

28. This is the group that was at that Pro-Bush march a couple mos ago
Edited on Tue Nov-15-05 04:02 PM by liveoaktx
The one that the guy with the girls name from freeperville was running and Jeff "I'm a Ho" Gannon attended.

I didn't save the song, but it was part of THIS rally

They were some scaggy men who sang what sort of sounded like "The End of the World as we know it" except to Bush was Right, all while banging their heads

it's whether they believe in money.

And sorry Willy Greene, nobody's buyin' what you're sellin'.

4. It is nice to be part of the "BUSH IS DEAD WRONG!"
campaign that has been going on here at DU for years. I cannot believe that a large group of Americans still think he is a good president.

5. A great recruiting tool
All wing nut households should play the video over and over. Sons and daughters should be driven to the Army Recruiting Office so they can be part of future "successes" in Iraq. Before they deploy Mom and Dad should help them pick out a headstone.

HERE LIES ANOTHER IRAQI SUCCESS STORY

You go right brothers. In fact, go to Iraq.

6. So Bush was WRONG when he later said there was no Saddam - 9/11 link?
Do the Right brothers know Bush already admitted there was no link?

17. Really. And just where were those WMD's found? The Iraqi
Survey Group couldn't find them. They came up empty handed.

22. Technically, what Bush said was
There is no evidence of a link. To these morans, that means that there was a link, but Bush, in his absolute standards for incontrovertible proof, couldn't swear that there was.

Of course, he could invade a nation and blow up lots of little children. That required a lower standard of proof.

10. Right about what?
Right about WMDs?
Right about being greeted with candies and flowers?
Right that we shouldn't get involved in nation-building?
Right to send 1/3 the necessary number of troops (assuming you insist on going in, you should plan to win)?

As soon as Bush accuses his opposition of re-writing history, his backers start a propaganda campaign to re-write history.

Well, frankly anyone who gets their news on world events from MTV videos is operating at a deficit anyway, IMO.

25. And repetition
The article links to a RAM clip of the song. In that short segment were several HIGHLY arguable statements, a couple boldfaced and now throughly debunked lies, and the constant, fast paced repetition of "BushwasRightBushwasRightBushwasRightBushwasRight."

The only ray of light? The singer sounds kind of like Weird Al Yankovic. Prime meat for spoofing, imo.

29. Does anyone remember "Future Problem Solving"?
FPS was an extracurricular activity available when I was in school where you were presented with an issue facing the world ("Cashless Society" was one, as was "Climate Change"). You spent some time reading about it, then you had a limited amount of time to work with a group, brainstorm problems, and identify solutions.

"Make a music video" reminds me of this, as it's the sort of thing fourth-graders in the 80's would have come up with as a solution to almost any social problem.

These "RightMarch" cranks are really at the cutting edge. :eyes:
