I can't work with the Repugs....
Too much has happened. Too much differences..

I don't even WANT to work with them...

They are hateful, and stupid; everything I despise with a passion.
All their policies:

Iraq War, Stem cell research, faith-based initiatives, abortion, environmental issues, affirmative action., prayer in schools, evolution vs creationism, global warming, health care, job outsourcing.....etc..etc..etc.
Is asinine and I am violently against.

I know that I am wrong to harbor such feelings... I think its turning into hate... a dangerous and irrational emotion; but I can't help it.
I know it must be affecting me in ways I probably don't even realize yet. Is there any help for me?

1. Work Smart...
Work with them when it forces them to show their hypocrisies or go back on a core promise to their base. Today the Democrats in the Senate showed not only that Democrats have ideas and answers, but that the Repugnicans are so morally and politically corrupt they couldn't come up with their own...so they stole ours.

It also is a real kick in the ass to booosh. He's got indians leaving the reservation and starting to shoot arrows in his back. Do you think any kind of Iraq war discussion, yet alone a resolution of this type, would have been possible three months ago?

The Repugnicans are doing a lot of damage to themselves right now...and our job is to help them do more. Sometimes it's by a wink and a nod (like how Reid handled the Miers situation) or by shutting down the Senate. Right how there are a lot of nervous Repugnicans who aren't sure which way their political winds are blowing...our job is to keep them spinning through next year's elections and beyond.

2. Your list of issues is pretty long....but what if you list those values ..
that we share as people.
Like the need for clean water and air.
Like the need for honest and open government.
Like the need for fairness in dealing with others.
Like the need for food, clothing and shelter, for all.
Or the right to worship as we please, or not (this may trip em up).
The right to access to opportunity, even if your poor.
The fairness of asking business enterprises to clean up all their mess.
The fairness of accurate vote counting.
The right to choose who we marry or associate with.
The right to criticize government and freedom to assemble.

After the talking with others about similarities, and trying to find common values, maybe controversial topics will become useful.

3. There is help and hope - I personally know
Three years ago I began my new job as a Internationl Marketing Manager for an "American" manufacturer. The bad news, I learned the Owner, my Boss was a major player in the local Repuke Party.
Shortly thereafter, my Aunt went to Iraq as a human sheild - hell has no fury as a Repuke Employer with a Dem employee whose Aunt (with a shared last name)is all over the major Media. Newspaper clipping and photo's of Op-Ed's were left all over my desk daily- I was a hated outcast whose life was made miserable.
I held my head high, did my job and watched. The Bushies went after Aunt Faith with vengence threats of fines and imprisonment (ongoing). The jokes continued to be hurled at me.
As time continued, I watched my Boss begin to lose margins as he attempted to remain competitive with the Asian Imports. One day I spied a written response to Bush's Invitation for my Boss to have dinner. In this letter, my Boss (I'll leave out the explatives) told him he is not one of the "have and have more's", due to this Adminisration his is now a have less and lesser's and will discontinue all support to the RNC until he is out of office!
One less vote for the Rupkes is one more vote for Democracy!

4. I had a similar experience at HYCAL ENGINEERING...now long gone.
When I started, over 300 employees, 4 years later I was "let go".
a couple of years later, all gone.
