MEME: Killing people and stealing their oil is not an energy policy
the oil supply will decline in a couple of decades to the point that it's no longer economically viable to use it, but the emnity we're earning will last centuries and is a debt Americans, not oil companies will carry.

9. Good quote. More people here know Norquist than Freepers do
they correctly keep him in the closet.

He's a fucking ghoul, but at least we get the straight dope on GOP goals from him.

5. Why do we need oil, there are other
alternatives for energy. we can make our own energy, if the government gets its heads out of the clouds, we can have a more sane energy policy. We wouldn't have to kill or still anything for anybody, that make sence to me.

8. most "aren't feasible" because they aren't being done on a large scale
and the fact that they aren't done is used as an argument for not doing them--making the problem that much worse.

7. Brazil is doing well with biofuels--the sad fact is, we AREN'T getting
the oil for us--it's for our oil companies.

It's essentially a hostile take over of French and Russian oil concessions at gunpoint.

10. No, you're wrong!

Killing people and stealing their oil clearly *is* an energy policy.

Allow me to present as exhibit A the energy policy of the Bush administration, to wit "Kill people and steal their oil".

Case closed, I fear :-)
