I'll use my B&N birthday gift certificate to buy
Our Endangered Values : America's Moral Crisis -- by Jimmy Carter
Any other suggestions?

Note: My Republican Mother-in-law, who I love, gave me the gift certificate.

1. It's a good buy
Also Franken's new book The Truth with Jokes. Also if you're into fiction I just bought and am excited to read Boxer's new book A Time to Run.

Non political but thought proboking books - The Story of B by Daniel Quinn. Great book.

3. I'm late getting this book
(for my b-day last week!!) so you may have already read it, but I strongly recommend Don't think of an Elephant, by Lakoff. I wa sgiven Al Franken's book too, but I'm just starting it so cannot comment.

8. My all time favorite author
and one of my all time heroes in life. I may need to kick in a little cash and get two while I'm there.
