"Do you feel any loyalty to Rs who vote with you--ones up for reelection?"
Edited on Tue Nov-15-05 07:37 AM by Skidmore
What the heck kind of question was that asked by a reporter at Reid, Levin and Durbin's news conference yesterday? Why should Dems be expected to show loyalty and support R candidates because they vote to do the right thing or support the right thing? Where does this kind of thinking come from?

EDIT NOTE: This not my question in the thread header, but a question asked by a reporter of our senators. My question has to do with the mindset that it takes to come up with such a question. Why is it okay to ask one group if they feel loyalty to their opposition? Do they ask this type of question of the Rs? I don't think so. They tend to ask Rs why the Dems don't have a message. I don't know who the reporter was who asked this question or I'd write to her. If anyone recognized her, please let me know.

1. No!! Not for re-election!!!!!!!!! They've had the reins too long
already. I will not vote for a republican for anything, not even for dog catcher!!! Say it to yourself. Look in the mirror and say it. Say it before you go to sleep, say it when you wake up, and all through the day!!:spank: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank:

2. May I ask where you got those emoticons?
I'd like to cut and paste them but I'd like to determine that they are not connected to any kind of adware.

6. You can find some of these smilies at certain
websites. Just put smilies in search.

4. That's an easy question for Texans.
Kay Bailey Hutchison? John Cornyn? Rick Perry?

Not all up for re-election this year. But I've never voted Republican & these guys surely won't tempt me.

5. In a Word,...
...NO!

Next year, we in Maine have a "moderate" republican, Olympia Snowe, up for re-election. She is certainly not as bad as some of the others, but every bit of correspondence I've ever received from either Snowe or Collins makes it obvious that, at the end of the day, they are cheney/bush supporters.

Snowe may not be beatable. After last Tuesday I have more hope about that, but the bottom line is we can't afford the "moderate" republicans' support of this criminal administration.
