Does anyone know of any journalist that has told the truth, the whole

I recently subscribed to "The Nation" and that has given me an inkling.
Who gives you an unexpurgated look?

Truth is always colored by your view of political motivations, yours and others. I haven't read anybody who hasn't manipulated the truth in one form or other, whether intentionally or in order to advance an important point that hasn't been otherwise made. I think it's dangerous to think that any person or publication has a handle on the whole truth of anything.

6. True enough, but there are journalists who welcome open debate

on whatever they say, and there are the other types ... who use carefully monitored call-screening, or shut off the mikes of those they can't handle.

Those names suggested on this thread are all of the former type, and are well worth reading and/or listening to.

I think Dahr Jamail is really good, maybe the best on Iraq because he's an
independent who's there and with the people unembedded.

But maybe it's hard to really judge some of these reporters
because while you can easily say that so many of them are
intentionally misleeding or lying, maybe others are being
mislead themselves. Is that the same as lying?
