6. Oh, he'll blame it on those "godless orientals"
They just aren't churchy enough to suit him....

There is nothing beyond the headline banner on CNN, I'm wondering how far off the coast, and if tsunami could be an aftereffect.

25. Is God's Aim Off?
* was in Crawford during Katrina. Now he's in Japan during 7.2 ocean quake. Maybe God is sending him not-so-subtle messages, like, "Hey * I'm getting closer, a little closer, closer, closer..."

10. MSNBC says tsunami warning issued, quake was 6.9
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 05:36 PM by MADem
Not sure if they got the magnitude right, but that is all they said.

LATEST: The agency said tsunamis as high as 50 centimetres could reach coastlines on Japan's Pacific Coast between 7:10 am and 7:30am in Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima and Hokkaido.

15. It's actually true.
A tsunami warning was issued for the northeastern Japanese coast; NHK said the quake could produce waves up 30 to 50 cm (12 to 20 inches) above normal.

16. is that a mis print?
50 cm is just under 20 inches. Does that qualify as a tsunami?

17. Yes it does
the problem is how the wave grows when it hits the coast, all that energy

18. Yeah, the tsunami is just the action of the wave being created and heading
towards shore (or wherever). There is no size requirement.
