Are there any Republicans at Dean Meet-ups?
I went to a Clark meet-up yesterday and their was a life-long Republican there who said he felt Bush has betrayed the country. I think that bodes well for us.

We need to run a candidate who will have appeal across the board. I like Dean's no-bullshit style but I'm afraid that he will be seen as the dreaded "Northern Liberal" If Dean wins the nomination, I think it's imperative he pick Clark as his running mate. At the meeting, one man was almost out of his mind at the thought of four more years of that lunatic squating at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

1. We have one who is regular, and one who is usually there.
We also have a couple of independents. None of us think he is a liberal. That he is not. Dean has not done much in Florida yet himself, but he plans to do so. I heard a lot of folks in South Florida are interested in him.

I don't think he has been here yet out of respect for Graham. Now he will.

3. I believe one of the top people in Dean's NH campaign organization
was the chairperson of Bush's 2000 NH campaign… she changed her party registration to vote/work for Dean.

4. The guy running our Clark meetup used to be a Republican - even
ran for office a few years ago as a Republican.

5. There are quite a few of them.
Many of the Dean meetup groups have reported several moderate Republicans at their meetups who have become ardent Dean supporters. Moderate Repubs and libertarians, as well as Democrats of all stripes, independents, Greens, and lots of formerly politically uninvolved, including non-voters are highly involved, and in attendance at just about all the meetup groups around the country.

8. I went to one of the first Dean meet-ups and there was a GOP disruptor...

...started yelling things about Bill Clinton from the back of the room. I stood, walked over to him and shouted him down.

9. Interesting ONE disruptor, but everybody else pissed at Bush
I would have expected Freepers doing their freeper thing at all meetups. But that does not sound like the case.

12. Yes
We have a couple of regulars and a goodly number of support pledges ( or regular Repubs have been doing a fair amount of voter outreach amongst their kin ).
