Who's watching Curb Your Enthusiasm?
They do the best job of injecting political discourse into this show.

4. yes. we just got HBO 3 years ago -- so we rented all the seasons
Edited on Sun Nov-13-05 11:34 PM by catmother
before that. thank you netflix.

one of my favorite ones is the xmas one. when larry ate the x-mas cookies and one of the cookies was the baby jesus.

or how about the recent one where his father in law was wearing a nail around his neck. it was supposed to be from "the passion of the christ" and larry needed a nail to put up his messuzah (sp?) the father in law was sleeping and larry took the nail.

on edit: besides being a republican country club they didn't have any jewish members.

6. Remember what happened to that nail?
That was a funny episode.

I have two very favorites - the one where he picked up the hooker to ride in his car so he could drive in the car pool lane and the Benedryl brownie episode. I can't decide which was funnier.

10. Richard Lewis was dating a Christian Scientist girl
who was allergic to peanuts. They had dinner at Larry and Cheryl's and there were peanuts in the food. She broke out in a horrible rash and Larry tried to sneak her some Benadryl in brownies.

There is a hysterical scene where Larry goes to see her and her family is having a prayer circle and they get Larry to join them.

16. I don't have cable and just recently rented all four seasons. God is that
funny. The Christmas one is one of the best. I remember one from the first season where they went to some guys house for dinner and he was a porn star, and the guy told this reallly horrible porn story at the table. It was so awkward to watch. The whole show just makes you squirm and laugh.

3. I liked the episode where he was in the "The Producers"...
... and he was looking for a woman to sleep with for his anniversary gift. He was interested in the one actress until he saw the Bush/Cheney sticker then he got creeped out and backed away.

9. remember the one where jeff's dog bit his penis. we could
probably sit here all night recalling episodes. at least i'll be going to bed with a smile on my face.

my husband doesn't have a really good sense of humor. but when he watches larry he lets go with some real belly laughs.

and how all the little stories interconnect.

It's the "Seinfeld circle"
Stories about vignettes of his life, what he knows. And it always ends up where it began. But always, with a twist.

(who was apparently a registered sex offender). It's a great show!

23. most amazing is, there's no script- it's all improv
shortly before cameras roll, (after make up) the actors are told the 'bare bones' outline of the scene, as in what is happening to whom, and the rest is improvisation.

On of my favorites was when Larry hires actors to pose as a Nativity scene on his front lawn for his Christian in-laws, and they start kicking each other's asses for some reason or other.
