My son got married yesterday. We have been out of the loop. Question:
Did I hear on NPR during the festivities that Darth Cheney placed the wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier on Vet's Day? Was our chicken-hearted, lily-livered, scaredy-cat presdent afraid to go out in front of the public? Just checking...

1. Sadly, it's true.
This is a guy who when it was HIS turn to serve had "other priorities".

And he actually had the balls to place a wreath at one of the greatest symbols of the dedication of our armed forces.

These SCUMBAGS have no shame. NONE!

2. Congratulations!!!
Dubya gave a speech. It wasn't a nice one.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/11/11/bush.intel/
President Bush Friday accused critics of the Iraq war of distorting the events that led to the U.S. invasion, saying Democrats viewed the same intelligence and came to similar conclusions.

"While it's perfectly legitimate to criticize my decision or the conduct of the war, it is deeply irresponsible to rewrite the history of how that war began," the president said during a Veterans Day speech in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania.

"Some Democrats and anti-war critics are now claiming we manipulated the intelligence and misled the American people about why we went to war," Bush said. "They also know that intelligence agencies from around the world agreed with our assessment of Saddam Hussein." (Watch Bush attack his critics -- 1:17)

"These baseless attacks send the wrong signal to our troops and to an enemy that is questioning America's will," Bush said.

3. Oh, and Monkey Boy?
Or AWOL if you please.
He gave a nasty speech in front of soldiers who looked for the most part like they would have rather been policing the grounds for cigarette butts.

Only the chimp could do something so stupid.

7. The soldiers' time would have probably been better spent looking for cigs.
I really feel sorry for any military person who has to put up with * for more than a few minutes, especially for a speech.

6. Congratulations!
and yes, it's true. The idiot-in-chief chose to, instead of honoring our Veterans, give a political campaign speech. :grr:
