1. Nixon's trip did nary any good, so Schwarzzie's won't do any either...
None for Americans...

Still, these folks aren't very bright. * and Schwarzzie might enrage the Chinese. And at this juncture, I certainly don't care if they do.

3. Are they having a meeting in China of neo-con cabal?
Isn't Bush supposed to be going there too at the same time? Do they feel paranoid here on the Vaterland?

10. Bush is going to China before the end of the year.
I'm sorry I should have looked it up before I posted. I don't know if it's at the same time, but it sure seems wierd that it would even be that close if not overlapping each other.

Incidentally, traveling abroad is a thing California Republican politicians seem to do a lot. They claim it's to open up trade, but it really looks like a cover-up for their incompetence back home that they don't want to face up to.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/12/AR2005111200342.html

BEIJING -- After the bruising defeat of his reform package in last week's special election, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's trade mission to China offers him the chance to represent California in a country where his political woes are overshadowed by his celebrity.
Schwarzenegger arrives here Monday for a six-day visit that will also take him to Shanghai and Hong Kong. Accompanying him are his wife, first lady Maria Shriver, several Cabinet secretaries and a delegation of 80 business leaders.
