Question- Do DU'ers know about the "My Post" Icon?

It took me a while to find it when I was new here. Most of the people here know about it, but there is such a lack of people responding.
Now maybe I'm on eveyones ignore list, but I feel like I'm talking to my monitor. Sometimes discussion is ok.

Please be kind and check for replies!

2. My use of the "my posts" button

kind of depends on how fast the discussion is moving...(and how many discussions I'm involved in at the time)

Sometimes I remember to check in there in the mornings to see if there's a thread that I think deserves a boost.. Or if I think I've been uncharacteristically eloquent and want a pat on the back for it...

A lot of people (me included) are often content to stick their 2-cents in and let it go at that..

So, What's new with you? Hmm?

Sometimes a person (not me) wants a pat on the back or two. Most just want to throw 2 cents into the wind which usually is a loss especially in the big immense of cyberspace.

What's new with me? Busy, busy- jobs, hunting, addition on my house, too many demons to fight off by myself. :freak:

sometimes posts you do not expect to get an answer brings in floods, and other that you expect to get floods do not. But yes I check my posts a lot. :)

4. I can't live without My Posts

Back when Brownie was doing a heckuva job during Katrina, DU was so swamped with traffic that My Posts was gone... and, I felt strange without it there.

Helps to make up for the loss of memory and the speed of the scrolling threads here.

6. It's good to remind people that it's there as

there are a lot of new people. I am not sure if this is because I am not a donor (yet) but after I check out the first reply to a post, subsequent replies are not indicted by a change of color in My Posts. So I also check to see if I have 2 or more posts when I review MP.

I posted this here in GD, because that is where the brunt of my posts occur.
I'm sure that this is a loungy type of thread, but my heart is here.

11. On my machine (and maybe it just needs tweaking) but

when I get a reply to a post, it is indicated by (1 reply) in blue. When I respond or click on it, the color changes to gray like the rest of the text in My Posts. If I get subsequent replies, the text will read (2 replies) but no text color change to indicate that something new has happened since I was last in there. So, when I check out MP, I check for blue first replies and then multiple replies.

Like I said, I imagine this is what non-donors have and maybe this feature functions better for those that pony up and support the cause. (Something I will do when cashflow is better)

I usually just click back on the thread and not hit the (replies) link. I think that when you are not a donor that some portions of the reply thing and search things are disabled.

I have maybe one reply or two to all the places I've posted for a day. Usually those threads I start fall with a thud. :) But every once in a while, even if there's no response to my response to a thread, I like to go back and see what the discussion was like.

and was about impossible to remember where i posted and what the thread name is. has been much easier to go in and look to respond. thank you for sharing for those that might not realize, so they can respond
